INTRODUCTION
By registering for and participating in the Startup Weekend event, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in removal from the event without a refund.
REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
Registration fees are non-transferable unless explicitly agreed upon by the event organizers.
All payments must be completed before the event starts to secure your participation.
Participation
Participants must be at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
You are expected to contribute respectfully and collaboratively with other participants. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Intellectual Property
Ideas presented during the event are open to collaboration and development by all participants. You retain ownership of ideas you bring to the event but agree to allow others to contribute during the weekend.
The organizers are not responsible for protecting intellectual property. Participants are encouraged to manage this independently.
Photography and Media Release
By attending, you consent to the use of your image, voice, or work in photos, videos, or promotional materials related to the event.
Liability
The organizers are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the event.
Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and incidental expenses unless otherwise stated.
Code of Conduct
The event fosters an inclusive and respectful environment. Discrimination, harassment, or harmful behavior based on race, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other status is strictly prohibited.
Violations of the Code of Conduct should be reported to the event organizers immediately.
Changes and Cancellations
The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the schedule, speakers, or venue as necessary.
If the event is canceled by the organizers, participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee.

GENERAL REFUNDS
Refund requests will be accepted up to 7 days prior to the event. A full refund of the registration fee will be issued for requests made before this deadline.
Refund requests made less than 7 days before the event are not eligible for a refund.

EVENT CANCELLATION
If the event is canceled by the organizers, a full refund of the registration fee will be provided to all participants.
No-Show Policy
No refunds will be issued for participants who fail to attend the event without prior notice or approval from the organizers.
Transfer of Tickets
Tickets may be transferred to another participant with written approval from the organizers. Please contact us at least 5 days before the event to request a ticket transfer.
HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
To request a refund, please email kiaora@standtall.nz with your name, registration details (number and ticket), and reason for the refund. Allow up to 14 days for processing.
